Belt line and rocker trim is gone. Of course what you can't see are the 96 holes I have to weld up and fill now. But, she's gonna look slick!

The old vinyl dash pad is history. Check out that nice steel dashboard. Removed the last of the Chrysler badging off the fenders too. Belt line and rocker trim comes off next.

Donned the trusty respirator today and got the nasty old headliner and insulation ripped down and disposed of. Damn field mice can really make a mess. And it's dangerous, you don't want to breath that stuff let me tell you. Yuck. Dash pad is next up on the "hit list".

How I Spent My July 4th Holiday

Finished moving into the new garage Saturday then spent the rest of the weekend organizing. Starting working on the Newport, got the seats and nasty carpeting out and the floorboards cleaned up. The largest rust hole in the floor is about the size of my fist and easily patchable, otherwise they're pretty solid, just a lot of surface rust.
