Black Betty: Progress Report

Spent some time in the shop this weekend tinkering with the ol' Newport. Pulled the valve covers and verified all the lifters were working and that nothing was stuck. Gonna need a new starter, old one's junk, cranks too slow and draws far too many amps. Ordered, and received an oil pump priming tool from Summit. Removed all the door and window handles, and got the front door panels off. Plans are to salvage them for now by fashioning new bottoms to replace what's been damaged by moisture. Also removed the old heater controls from the dash, plan on blanking them out since I'm removing what's left of the heater ass'y any way.

The Art Of Taping

Dude has some real talent, the music is cool too. Can't wait to see how the paint turns out, but it's gonna be killer you can rest assured.

The Purge

I've gone back and deleted all old posts that related to the Belvedere. They are no more.

Time to move on.

Club Coupe. One owner, bought new locally, all original. Coming soon (as soon as I go dig her out).

The keys are still in the ignition (it ran when we parked it!)

And here's what I hope to do to her:
